Like the river flows ...

As I live my life one day at a time,
I learn to accept all that comes my way.
It may not be what I want that day;
But I go with the flow, come what May.

Days, weeks and months pass by,
N I’ve learnt to accept how things come by;
Life’s not easy or wasn’t meant to be,
But accepting the challenges that come my path
And managing it the best way I can
Will help me sail through life you see.

My life was like this Ocean
Where I sailed on just like the Ship.
But I know now that somehow somewhere
I have just got to get a grip.

I know not where this journey will lead me;
Coz my life aint like the Ship anymore,
But I’ll flow on like the river
Let the flowing water carry me
And see what life has in store for me.

It’s sure going to be a challenge
With all its ups and downs,
But if so be it, I’ll meet it.
And as I live on
Like the river I’ll flow on,
Leaving my yesterdays behind
Welcoming my tomorrows with a smile.
A stronger person is who I’ll be
After all it’s I who holds the key to me.
